Best part was the view - our window faced the beautiful mountain scape. Simple and modern set up - space very well utilized and room has everything we needed (would have been nice to have an extra chair). Very clean. Energetic and young vibes... love the outdoor common space with ping pong, billard tables... Staff was friendly

Very nice area with beautiful mountain views, right under the famous Mont Blanc, easy to access quite a lot of ski lifts taking you up to the ski slopes. Very high level professional ski slopes
Les Houches' downside is their council operated facilities have arrogant staff (not including the cashier staff who are very nice). Ski slopes sign posts are very very badly done and very unclear. Maps are not nicely done not clear.

I have been "Stuck" in Les Houches as a ski holiday for the last 15 yrs as all my Kids then their Partners then Grandkids were learning to ski, its a great place for this and we love the village, it has quiet places to eat and then it has The Kitch Inn.. get there for Apres Ski live music and great food.
Unfortunately due to the snow season changing it might be time to go to a higher altitude

I never been treated so bad by a receptionist like in this hotel. I called in the afternoon trying to find out how to get there from a sports event I was attend in Chamonix, and besides saying that this was not her problem, she turned the phone off on my face. I walked for 1h20 with my bags in the middle of the night to get there. Next day I explained the reason I could not stay the 2nd night, and she prompt said she would refund me. After quite few emails and now answer, I left a review here explaining other people that if you dont have a car, its impossible to reach the place (but they do not mention this on the hotel description). So today I called the hotel to follow up about my refund and the lady she screamed at me on the phone. She said because of my review, she would not refund. And again, that was my problem how I would get to the hotel. She turned the phone off on my face again. Never had such treatment in years booking hotels for my sports events.
I would like to let everyone knows about this situation, so no one can be fooled like I was.

Les Houches is a great little ski area.
Les Houches is a great little ski area. It may not have the long runs of some resorts but we enjoyed all it had and enjoyed not having to queue for lifts. We actually had a full week of sunshine - which always helps, but is not able to be controlled.
This is a great little apartment in Les Houches, minutes from the Prarion Gondola, ski hire and a great boulangerie for coffee, cakes and essentials. It is small, but has everything you need, great heating, a lovely heated pool on premise, and very kind owners and managers, who were lovely to deal with and very helpful. Les Houches is part of Chamonix valley with a free bus taking you to ski at other parts of the valley, but we actually preferred Les Houches so by the end of the week were just skiing there.
Location was good. Quieter area, bus stop right outside to the slopes, Chamonix etc.
Car park was convenient.
Ski shop downstairs with lockers also very convenient. Ability to buy ski passes in the hotel also.
Most staff were very friendly.
Clean.
Some games, pool table.
Bar and restaurant in the hotel, though dinner must be booked in advance and places are limited.
Lots of hangout areas.
Live music every evening aprés ski.
Suited to groups.
Water, tea and coffee available in lobby self service.
The Chris-Tal hotel is a very nice family run hotel with a fantastic host. Stranded here by accident because of car trouble. The host was very helpful and help us with getting transportation and we could use the facilities after checkout while we had to wait for the car to be fixed. Also the host is a very good cook. We had a fantastic diner and the best fresh scrambled eggs during breakfast. If you stay here do have diner and breakfast at the hotel and it will make you smile.
Good location, we appreacited little fridge and balcony. Absolutely the best were the pillows. So far best pillows we have experienced in 2,5 weeks trip in France. We had one small and one bigger but feather and thin/soft pillows. When we go back to Chamonix we would definitely stay again there. In 95% hotels we have to sleep with no pillows or instead of put the towels as we are unable to sleep with the hard/ high pillows.
The place was perfect for our ski Holiday in the Chamonix area. We were two families, a total of 10 people, and were comfortable, including the attached suite that provided extra privacy. Everything was clean and well-stocked. The sauna and hot tub were a nice touch after a full day of skiing, and the location was perfect for being close to the slopes (we alternated between LesHouches and Chamonix).
Relatively close to the Les Houches train/tram station (~15 minute walk), generally close to restaurants and the only microbrewery in town. Short walk to the town center. Be sure to request your Chamonix bus pass/schedule for access to buses and trams in the valley. This should make it even easier to get around. We were comfortable during our stay.
I loved my room, the balcony view of the mountains was incredible. Staff was kind, breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Best sangria I have ever had. Location was close to the bus stop, an easy walk to the start of the TMB for me in Les Houches.
Loved the location , between the 2 attractions we chose to visit, Aguilera de midi and Mount Blanc tramway.
Loved the balcony from which we could see beautiful views of Mont Blanc .
Very good price for lodging near Chamonix and short drive.
Absolutely delightful and wonderful stay here…after a week in La Thuile and Chamonix our short stay here was the best. Peaceful and with amazing views. We could not wish for somewhere more lovely when staying in the mountains *****
Great location for exploring the area, attentive host, and a very nice property. Chamonix and other towns are a short drive. I am so glad we stayed here rather than a hotel for twice as much.
everything was perfect. Nice chalet, quiet location, close to lifts, etc. Have to have a car as life really is Cham and Les Houches is a sleepy place, but that’s okay.
