The hosts, Bruce and Jules, were very welcoming and friendly. They were always available to help and answered any questions we had. Great service. Room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. Very good view and good location. Just a few minute drive to most places we wanted to visit. The complimentary bottle of bubbles definitely enhanced our stay. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice, relaxing stay at Waiheke.

The property said it was in Oneroa, but was actually a few kms out of town. Bus was convenient though.
Fenice and the Waiheke Grocer we’re both fabulous. Got a bargain at the Recycle Boutique. Cyclone prevented beach time, but had a lovely massage come to us (Inner Spring). Even in bad weather Waiheke was fun and beautiful

Charming small main town on Waiheke Island. V good bus service and is served by 2 ferry likes to Auckland.
There are several excellent restaurants and many wonderful wineries on the island, which we recommend.
The locals are friendly and helpful. We have stayed in Oneroa several times and always look forward to returning. It is not a cheap destination.

Great place to visit, lots to do & see.
Great place to visit, lots to do & see. Earlier in the week a number of places closed due to Covid as they can't get the staff. Closer to the weekend more places open. Enjoyed lots of Cellar Door tastings & took lots of wine home to stock our cellar.

nice village, bigger than I had realised from internet/brochures. 1st time visit.
Variety of shops - food & clothes & souvenirs, Not just for tourists but locals too.
easy to get about on foot. very near beach & sea.
Plenty nice restaurants - good variety of food choices.
nearby wineries i did not get to.
The relaxed vibe, delicious breakfasts, decks for casual outdoor eating and drinking and the delightful host all made for a great stay. My room was small but lovely, with a very clean shared bathroom nearby. The quiet but central location is close to public transport, which takes you to several beaches with beachside cafes and restaurants eg Palm Beach and Onetangi. The Oneroa and Little Oneroa beaches are a short walk away.
The room was clean and comfortable. We were in a garden room with a lovely outlook - felt like being in a rainforest. Wifi was good. Staff were friendly. The breakfast delivered to the room was lovely and the homemade afternoon teas were such a treat! It was a 5 minute walk to Little Oneroa beach and a short stroll into Oneroa itself.
Accommodation on Waiheke is very expensive so this felt like quite a good deal.
The location was fantastic and the accommodation was reasonably priced, clean, modern and had everything I needed. Close to ferry and Oneroa village shops, restaurants, cafes and beach. Heidi was a lovely, friendly and helpful host. The extra touches; chocolate, tea and coffee etc were really appreciated and her restaurant recommendations were spot on. Loved the 'Courtyard' and 'Fenice' dining experience.
We had a lovely time at the lodge - we stayed over the Christmas holiday and were treated like family by Andy and Pip. The ability to borrow a car or e-bikes as well as have a great backyard to hang out in made it an easy place to relax and enjoy our downtime between beaches and wineries. The breakfast and honor bar were a really nice touch.
The setting was lovely.
Having a private balcony was a bonus.
The location was great- close to the beach and Oneroa Village, yet secluded.
Dianne was an excellent host.
Breakfast was amazing and the afternoon teas were superb- fresh home baking.
A very relaxing place to stay.
Complimentary tea, coffee, and milk was so nice + the added option of wine was great. So close to Mudbrick and Cable Bay wineries.
The room is nicely set up for maximum efficiency, comfortable bed, and I really loved the whole aesthetic of the place.
Proximity is outstanding, into Oneroa village with public transportation, shops and restaurants and galleries and a awesomely good gelato shop ☺️ 😊. Plus the view toward Hauraki Gulf is priceless and Oneroa Beach is a stone throw away.
The bed was so comfy and decor lovely. Tracy was in contact and clear with her instructions and flexible so that we could check in earlier. Lots of extras were included - torches, robes, beach bag, towels, books, music - it was fab :)
The location was great. Close to Oneroa village which was handy to go out for dinner and easy to travel to surrounding wineries. Also a quick walk to the beach which was nice. I also liked how you could make your own food if needed.
Modern, comfortable and cosy villa, walking distance to Oneroa village. Pleasant outlook to landscaped sub tropical garden. Excellent facilities and very, very comfortable king size bed. Highly recommend.
Great location and view. Friendly helpful hosts. Spacious yet cosy, and very well equipped. Peaceful and quiet but only short walk to village.and island bus and beach
We loved our stay at Oneroa Secret Garden Apartments. The hosts Josie and Wayne were brilliant. We are definitely going back and would recommend it to anyone.
